Frequently asked questions
What exactly does the free plan include?
Heartbeat monitoring, disk and inode alerts, node down detection, and a basic dashboard for up to 5 nodes. The agent discovers your server context and you control what gets monitored.
Can I use external monitors without server monitoring?
Yes. External monitoring is a standalone product. You can monitor HTTP endpoints, APIs, and services without installing any agent. Buy monitor packs independently.
Do Pro nodes include external monitors?
Yes — every Pro node includes 2 external monitors. Ten Pro servers means 20 monitors for your websites and APIs at no extra cost. Monitor packs add more on top when you need them.
Do you offer yearly billing or volume discounts?
Yearly billing saves you money on every paid plan — the yearly price is shown next to each plan. Running a large fleet? Ask for a price and we'll put together volume pricing for your server room.
What does "capability-aware" mean for the Hardware Pack?
The agent detects what tools your server has (smartctl, mdadm, MegaCLI, ZFS, etc.). Hardware Pack features are offered only on nodes that have the relevant capabilities. You won't see an upsell for RAID monitoring on a server without a RAID controller.
How is "disk full prediction" different from a threshold?
Instead of alerting at 85% usage, we track growth rate over time and predict when the disk will actually be full. A server at 90% that's been stable for months doesn't need an alert. A server at 70% growing 5GB/day does.
Is the agent really open source?
Yes. The agent is fully open source — the source code will be published on GitHub at launch, and you can audit every line of code. It collects only what's documented, starts monitoring only after your approval, and has no hidden telemetry.
